After some disturbing news about att no longer pro-rated unlimited international data plan I've made a serious decision to revisit the carrier issue. I've leaned towards cing due to the early 3g rollout and their (on average decent nationwide reception) though the last three homes(in seperates cities) I've had random signals and a lot of dropped calls(using voice). So I'm asking dc metro area users how their bb recpetion is here. And I remember there were early issues with the tmobile accepting the 8300. (I'm enlove w/it so either way I"l be using it on one of the two carriers. Does jivetalk working on the 8300? Are there any problems with tmobile network on 8300 or overall bb probs some apps don't work well etc? how is the signal in midatlantic states? Same as cingular(not that you know but maybe some of you do). Is the tmobile international rate activatable and deactivatable?
If you bought a curve(out of contact) what was your reasoning? J/b it wad brand new and not on tmobile or something else.
Their is 3 issues. Buying it out of contract(all I can is ouch!).2) I heard that the data plan abroad is only for email and not data. I use jivetalk obscene amounts and internet more than moderate amount. Does anyknow if the cing roaming and tmobile rates comparable abroad. And lastly, I remember reading somewhere that Tmobile was set to broll out 3g this sumner but that was months ago and I've heard nothing since then. I will be buying a 3g bb when they come out. Especially if they keep the same keyboard feel as the 8300. But it appears that cingular will have the only viable 3g network at that time. I would have waited but a business I just started required me to pick one up. And I will most likely at some point grab a iphone that's 3g ready.(Make that 4). All of this aside does that tmobile still a viable option?
Q10! <- Love the 9000!! It's everything I wanted (minus enough ON BOARD memory)!!
