I have a message indicator on my screen but no new message! I cant figure out what it is or how to make it go away! I have no SMS, no MMS and no new voice mail! Anyone have any ideas how to make it go away? I think I had a new voicemail that I listened to and then deleted when it happened. Ive tried the battery pull reboot, checked all my messages and it just sits there looking at me! Any ideas? Thanks!

I had the same thing happen today. I found in the Messages folder (to the left of the email folder) I had an unopened message from Blackberry saying my phone was registered with them. Once I open this message the message icon went away. Good luck.

In the messages folder highlight todays date and click the menu key. Select "Mark Prior Opened." If that doesn't do it then in the messages folder click the menu key and select "view saved messages." Do the same thing in that folder. Mark Prior opened or delete them as desired.

I have the same issue! Voicemail icon, but no voicemail.

The one thing I have noticed is that if you don't actually save/delete your voicemail message while you are listening, the icon will stay there.

What is rather weird though is that I listened to my messages last night. I deleted the message and the icon vanished, but then when I woke up this morning, the icon was back....and I haven't had any calls or voicemail! That icon is driving me insane!

Leon, the fixed prescribed by John above is for a different issue than yours; the mark prior open does work in that case.

Your issue is a voicemail icon. If you wake up with a voicemail icon, I would first suggest you check your voicemail, and delete any present. If the icon persists, call your BB from another line, leave a message and then check your VM from your BB and listed and delete that message.

There are instances where a VM icon persists, and it is a carrier glitch which requires you to call your carrier and have your VM reset from their end.
