Unhappy Caller log glitches help!!!

Please Login to Remove!

Ok so far I'm beyond nuts about my first blackberry. Can't put the dang this down and about to be divorced over it. Today though and only had it 3 days now and heavy first time use. I tried going into my caller log and how it highlights the name and you can scroll up and down and select to call, sms, etc. the highlight was not there, then was, then not, and when trackball clicked it would bring up on the "full menu" selection. So did a soft restart didn't work then did a battery pull and worked but kinda lagged. So did a battery pull again let it sit a bit, put it back in and guess it works ok. No other problems I know of but should I take it in and get a new one so not to be worried that I'm screwed after 30days or stick it out.http://www.blackberryforums.com/images/icons/icon9.gif

If it's working well now, then don't bother bringing it back!
Especially if everything else is on point with the unit. Take it from a guy who's gone through more than a handfull of Curves over the last 2 weeks. You risk getting one with more issues then the one you have when an exchange is done. See how it is over the weekend, then decide if it's worth a swap!

I'll have to say, called AT&T and they are going to send updates to my phone and their customer service is amazing right now. She said yada yada and if it keeps up then call the tech people but to use the heck out of the call log and anything else with the track ball. I have 30 days make sure it will last. Was impressed that this was said.

my wifes pearl had similar issue. i fixed it by changing what the call log displays from "call log" to "most recent", and then back again.

old call log didnt re-appear, but it did start logging calls again.

Default Call Log missing on my 8830 with VZW

I had my phone for 2 wks now and its great, BUT now I have an issue with my call log, it oes not log any calls, sometimes the phone logs the calls but after a few hours they are missing again, this happened after I changed my theme, wandering if that is the issue, or maybe the new mem card I put in a kingston 2GB. Please help
