Default can you make a home screen shortcut

For the life of me I can't figure out what or how to make a shortcut to get to the homescreen. Any clues for the clueless wonder (that would be me)?

Works for me! Likewise--Alt + Escape will scroll through open apps and the Homescreen is one of those.
