hi, when i try and re install the software on my computer, (including core, I tried to open source it, didn't work) ANyways, when it comes to the reconnection stage of the software install it says it cannot reconnect.
This is a recurring issue, any suggestions.

Okay I THINK you're talking about installing the handeheld software on the device...youre message is somewhat confusing though.

It could be that you have a usb issue. Are you connecting the device to a usb hub? Can you go straight from one failed attempt into another, or do you have to reboot the PC between install attempts?

sorry i wasnt very clear. but yeah oyu got it. while im trying to reinstall the software onto my handheld. i keep getting a failed to reconnect error during this prossess. now my bb is blank because it erases everything first, kinda not sure what to do. maybe it is my cable ill try a new one.

Have you already installed the software to your desktop first(with/out the bb being plugged in?) I had to download the exe run the exe which then installed the os data onto my computer. Then I plugged in the bb and ran desktop manager and it detected the update. The second time when I installed the newest Roger OS it didn't pop up a update - so I went to the screen to add/delete programs and kept hitting next and then it did it.
