Great thing your phone didn't break, that wouldn't have been a nice Father's Day present..

You've just described my house! My two year old girl is prone to do the same!

Over at my sisters house last weekend, I left my Curve on the table out by the pool while getting another beer. My 2 year old niece decided she wants to see if phones float and throws my Curve, and her sisters Samsung in the pool. My Curve landed on a floating chair and only received a few drops of water on the back of it, meanwhile the Samsung went straight to the bottom. We did manage to get the Samsung out and battery removed very quickly, a quick dip in alcohol and a 24 hour dry out period and phone works good as new, just got a few marks on the internal screen. I'm just glad my Curve was lucky enough to land where it did.

BTW, she did get a whoopin.

wow it's amazing some of the things these phones live through isn't it? I'm a brand new BB user (got my pearl 2 days ago) and I'm loving it! Hopefully I won't have to go through any of the traumatic experiences I've read about on these forums. But from the sounds of it, if I do all is not necessarily lost with these durable phones!

Just so you know when I had my Pearl I dropped it from over 5 feet on to tile floor, not sure how it landed but it didn't leave a mark on it and still worked great.
