Default Locked Rogers curve work with a Fido SIM???

Please Login to Remove!

I know Fido BB connect is the same as Rogers BB connect and was wondering if anyone with a Rogers Curve has tried using a Fido SIM card without having to get it unlocked. Since Rogers and Fido are pretty much the same since the company purchase I was wondering this. Looking to purchase a Rogers curve but was wondering if I needed to get it unlocked too. Thanks!!!

I'm almost positive you still need to unlock to use Fido

I would have to agree with perfect storm. When at&t (Cingular) bought out AT&T wireless, the AT&T wireless sim cards could not work in the Cingular phones.

with the new at&t, its just a name change.

A Fido SIM will not work in a locked Rogers device. I have tried with a friends Fido SIM before.

is it pretty much a given that a Fido sim would work in an unlocked Rogers 8300?

and is it true that you cant browse the Internet using unlocked Curve + Fid Blackberry connect?

Any SIM will work in an unlocked anything

I've heard that browsing works fine on Fido BB Connect. I can browse and I'm on Rogers BB Connect

That is true but a Fido sim will not work in a locked Rogers device even though Rogers now owns Fido. This is what the original thread poster was inquiring about.

That's why I responded to the OP with that info. The post you quoted was for the post above it asking if an unlocked one would work
