Default Missing Icons after putting them in folders!

Please Login to Remove!

The folders aren't hidden, nothing is hidden!

I arranged all the shortcuts into folders when I first got my Curve, so all Games went into a folder called "Games" etc... Now all the Folders I created have gone missing, I can't get into the settings or anything!

I know that the folders still exist because if I try to create a folder of the same name it says it already exists! But where is it?

I can use the phone as a basic phone and email people etc, but I want my Games, Maps and Settings back!

I'm almost at the point where I put the damn thing on ebay and go back to my trusty K800i!

Please Help

Thanks in advance!

John

No need to cuss, the is a public forum.

Have you pulled the battery and let the BB reboot? If you can't get into Options, try the shortcut of tapping the "o" key (if Dial from Home Screen = NO at Phone > Options > General Options).

Hope you find them, good luck.

also try a different theme. My current TIM zen theme seems to handle the folders nicely but I was trying out a different theme and it couldn't move some apps into folders like the tim zen could. So some themes might just have some bugs regarding folder usage as it is new with 4.2.2

Is there a way to change the Theme without going into the settings?

Options > Themes. Select the one you want. I believe that is the only way.
You can use the shortcuts tapping "o" and then "t" as mentioned above.

Do the shortcut keystrokes work on an 8300?

I've had two people telling my to tap "o" to get in the options but my 8300 just diplays ++++++ when I tap "o"?

Am I being dumb?

Yes they do. Have you read (and followed!) the instructions in my Post #2 above? On the HOME screen, there is no where for a "+++++++" to even display when tap an "o". That is the letter "o" on the Home Screen--not from the phone dial screen.

Phone > Options > General Options: Dial From Home Screen must be set to NO.

Good luck.
