| Curve owners with T-Mobile. Please Login to Remove! Sorry if this topic might have been posted before...
Here it goes, I just got my Curve today and I should get the unlock code tomorrow. Who has unlocked a curve and use it for T-Mobile? Did you experience any problem such as missing browser, email problems, ect...?
What did you do to resolve this issue? Which OS should I install? OS provided by O2? I heard O2 OS fix all these problems but I'm not sure.
Thanks guys! | | Offline

| Have both ATT and O2 and the unlocked O2 on Tmo works perfectly. Just send the service books from the PC web page and use the O2 OS. Browser and everything except Tzones. | | Offline

| i was able to get the web browser both regular and tzones with the at t software jsut had to delete to delete all the service books, hard reboot(battery pull) then host routing table and resend service books.
i installed O2 any way though feels same to me
one complaint is that with both softwares i been experience really slow bbmessenger and email sending when low coverage areas where my 8800 worked flawlessly | | Offline

| I'd also suggest the O2 OS. I could never get the AT&T one to work. | | Offline

| Well it has been an experience thatxxx8217;s for sure. I should have been more patient; I went out and bought the AT&T Curve as soon as it hit the shelves. I bought it for $449.00, then had it unlocked for $19.00 or something close to that (I donxxx8217;t really remember), then bought a holster because AT&T does not ship the phone with one (what a rip). The 1st problem is there is no browser icon, after re-loading and reading countless threads on the topic, I finally downloaded O2xxx8217;s software and did a few minor adjustments and changed a few settings and the browser finally worked (somewhat). I still get so many error messages when trying to view numerous web pages that I use to be able to view with my 8700. Then I tried to get rid of the PTT since we at t-mobile have no use for. That took me another few hours and countless readings on numerous threads. To be honest, I should have waited for t-mobilexxx8217;s version. Now before my return date expires, I am now going to return the Curve to AT&T and just wait it out for our release of the next 8300 series for t-mobile. Now keep this in mind, this is my experience while trying to use the unlocked version on t-mobile. If I had AT&T then Ixxx8217;m sure you guys who have it might not be experiencing any problems what so ever. But for me, I love using t-mobile and I will now wait, that is what I should have done from the beginning. I just love buying new devises and trying them, so itxxx8217;s hard not to jump at the next new BB. In the past with the older models when I unlocked them, it never gave me so many problems like the curve did.
Any other T-mobile customersxxx8217; agree with this?

| I took mine out of the box, entered my unlock code and before even putting my T-Mo sim in, I downloaded the O2 software and installed it. I put my sim in the phone, went to the BIS/Tmobile webpage, changed my PIN, pushed the service books, and voila! As soon as I registered, all my books arrived, including both teh t-ZOnes and Blackberry browsers. ITs been a dream. | | Offline

| I got a Rogers Curve, unlocked it, slapped on the O2 OS, and had to take the additional step of getting a new SIM card. Mine was several years old, dating back to the BB 7230. I couldn't get the browsers to appear until I got the new SIM card, then they appeared instantly on reboot. I walked into a T-Mobile store and just asked for a new SIM. After the rep tried to convince me I was mistaken, she just gave me the new SIM for free. Took all of 5 minutes to set up the new one. I figure she just wanted me to go away. I seem to have that effect on women. Just someting to tuck away in the back of your mind in case you followed all the step for getting your unlocked Curve running on TMO and couldn't get your browsers. Really old SIM cards can indeed keep it from working. | | Offline

I find that I have to hide my Curve when I walk through Manhattan... | | Offline
