Default New User Question...

Please Login to Remove!

I have had my Blackberry 8300 for about two weeks now and I am loving it. I do have one question though...I use a mac, and thus cannot use the supplied application loader from RIM (is this right?) So, how do I install apps that are not available via OTA downloads (like Opera Mini 4 beta)? Is it possible to put the app file on my memory card and install it that way? I still have not found a way to look at the contents of my memory card (with the exception of the content that I load into my different media folders). Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance for your help. This forum has been most helpful.

You'll need windows to load on. I don't think pocketmac can load.

You might check the Mac Users Corner discussion on this forum. Lots of good info there.

You can load the new Opera mini 4 beta by downloading it directly at : www.mini.opera.com/beta on your Blackberry Browser!

No, you can't. I went directly to the download link for Opera Mini 4 beta and it gives me a link to download a zip file for blackberry. However, it just downloads to my memory card and then I have to way to access it unless i plug the 8300 into my computer via USB. At that point I am back where I started, with no application loader for the mac, I can't do anything with it.
