I just got my BB Curve Monday and today I noticed this imperfection on the casing.

This is raised more than the other end.

This seems to pop out. Right under the battery cover push button

I have a few Q's also since I'm new to the community of BB.

1. Is there a microsoft office application FOR the BB?
2. How come I can't install AIM on my BB? If you can, how?
3. Are there any hacks and the sorts for the BB? You guys know what I mean...LOL!
4. Should I read the Blackberry Pearl Book for Dummies? I know the pearl is similar. (I have a pdf version of the book)

Just snap that piece back in. Most of them are like that out of the box. It's the vendor logo piece and probably put on after manufacturing. As each vendor has their own who knows who actually does it.

Heh, join the club when it comes to having imperfections on your Curve. The loose piece you have where the mic is are a common thing with the ones that are shipping now! Until RIM corrects it in production that's the way they'll ship, it's really annoying!!! Anyway for your questions about AIM, load Jive Talk on to your Cuve. The program has a 30 trial period, then you can purchase it. Good luck with your Curve!

There is Documents to Go coming to the blackberry, if their palm and windows products are any indication of quality, we can expect a great office app coming to the blackberry soon. I hope it replaces the attachment service so we can actually open up the real docs and save them to memory cards.

Docs to Go was my favorite with Palm, would love to see it come to RIM. I hope they do it!

I don't have the mic cover problem with mine. The only area of concern as far as the casing goes is the battery cover, it seems to bulge slightly on the right hand side. I attribute it to the little cushion on the underside. It doesn't bother me so for now I'll just leave it as is.

Do you guys think I should try putting some double sided tape under it to keep it from poping up.

You know what I'm going to try and return it today and see what another one looks like.

Well I returned it and it's not there on this one. Guess I got lucky!
