Default E-mails not being deleted on the handset

Please Login to Remove!

Hi Guys, wondering if this is a known issue -

I have one user of a 8300 on Exchange and I have checked all of his reconciliation methods but they are fine, it is set to mailbox wins also, but when he deletes an email on Outlook it remains on his handset, is there a similar option to delete on both as there is on the handset?

we have tried wiping the handset and re-configuring it, but to no avail

any help would be great

thanks
Andy

The setting for this resides on the BES server. The default is to not remove messages from the BB when deleted from Outlook.

Here's a question. Are you moving them to the recycle bin first? If you're completely deleting them, they'll stay on the BB.

Suggestion: Soft delete in Outlook, which only moves the items to the recycle bin. The BB will reconcile throughout the day (and on the BB, they get deleted, as there is no recycle bin). At the end of the day (or whenever), make sure the BB has reconciled the latest in deleted fare, and then empty your recycle bin in Outlook.

That's what I do and it works flawlessly.

Good luck.
