Default Little "star" not beside of Yahoo folder, but SMS folder, when receiving mail - Help!

Please Login to Remove!

I hope this isn't a stupid question...I've searched the forums, but can't seem to find my answer exactly. I have upgraded my Curve from a Pearl. I had Yahoo and Gmail accounts on my Pearl. When I got an email for Yahoo, the little red "star" was beside the folder. The same for Gmail. It works that way with the Gmail on the Curve, BUT when I get a Yahoo mail, the little red "star" goes beside my SMS folder. I have made the emails and SMS "Separate" in the settings. Not sure what else to do. I have been trying to figure this out since yesterday morning. Would appreciate any info! Thanks!

Actually, I double checked and it's NOT the SMS folder, but the Messages folder, if that makes a difference.

That makes more sense. Messages is the global inbox. It will show a star for any new email that comes in, and if you have sms combined it will show there too.
There's nothing you can do to change this.

I guess it does, but I sure liked it the other way! Kept my business and personal emails separate.

The other way? It's always been this way.
You still have a separate icon for each BIS account. If you're not on BES you can just hide messages and use these

I read about this in an update. Your yahoo account now has a Y! right? I got my curve on the 5/31 and immediately put on my yahoo account through BIS. I get two stars when I get yahoo email. One on my yahoo, one on the "all messages" folder.

My friend got a pearl about a week later and updated his yahoo account and got the Y! logo which I was VERY jealous of (I just like the way it looked). But then I noticed that he didn't get the red star in the Y! folder and only in the "all message" folder which I was not a fan of. I imported his account to my phone temporarily and got the new Y! logo. After a few test emails, I did not get a star in his account.

I think that the verdict is that for all new yahoo syncs, you'll get the Y! logo and no star. Only with the older yahoo syncs, you'll get the mail logo and a globe with a star.

Rim can easily replace it with the original one or update the logo....
