As long as you have the BB data plan you can send pics as MMS or an email attachment. It's super simple to do. Plus the camera on the Curve is pretty good so I've noticed I've been snapping a lot more pics.
yes absolutely, and as said above photos qre pretty good though it is not a camera initially.
I have got a flickr account and a blog and just set up yesterday the email-blog-flickr function, so basically, I take a pic with the BB, sent it to a specific personnal flickr email, and it is posted on my flick first, then as a new post on the blog, and the title of the email becomes the photo/post title, the body is the comments.
Brilliant, isn't it?
If I send pictures via email, I assume that is covered by my unlimited data plan, right? What about pictures via txt? I have 200 txt (SMS, I guess) messages a month--if I send a picture via txt, does that just count as one txt message, with the extra data covered by the data package, or am I charged 15 cents?
(questions I should have asked the ATT people, but thanks in advance if you can help)
Send as SMS with picture attached is actually an MMS message, which you could get charged extra for. I am not sure about ATT, but I know with my TMo account, I have SMS included, but not MMS.
if you send a text(SMS), this is taken fro your text credit.
if you send a "text+image" this is called a MMS, and is taken from your MMS credit, which might be the same credit as the SMS one, knowing that most carrier consider 1 MMS = 3 SMS.
I am not sure but I think you can set up MMS sending settings to use GPRS, and then it uses your dataplan...but no sure
Thanks, guys. I didn't know what an MMS was (multimedia message, I now know), so I'll have to check my plan to see if they are included. I suppose they probably are not, so I'll be using email instead.
