Default 8g micro sd?

Anyone have a guestimate as to when this will come out and if it will work on the curve? The documentation states 4g, but I know other devices that state a max and can still accomodate the larger ones.

I am just curious to know what you will keep in 8 GB of storage space? This is really genuine curiosity. I am realizing I need an SD card, I would like to have some music with me, but I can't imagine what I would do with that much space. If the BB could open and edit documents in native format that would be a help and I would want additional space for my docs and spreadsheets. And if the BB would run programs from the card that would be awsome. That is one function I miss from my Treo.

Pictures, Music, Music Videos, Podcasts, Audiobooks, Movies, TV Shows, video clips...

People fill up 80GB iPods on a regular basis. I doubt that similar people would have any trouble filling up an 8GB SD card.

I need it for porn.

J/K

I have an 80g ipod filled with 40g of music plus various other media. One thing to keep in mind, is I ripped my collection at the very highest bitrate, so my files are generally larger (I'll explain why if you want). Bottom line, I like carrying one device and want to be able to put as much media as possible on it. The 4g will be perfectly adequate, but if I can get an 8 that's what I'd prefer.

I believe I hard q2 of '09. But I could be wrong. In theory it should support the bigger one or possibly a firmware/os update will allow it. Since the curve is microsd sdhc (I believe that's the terminology meaning its able to read the higher sdhc ~ higher compression?
they just managed to get invent a 8gig back in like march or april of 07 so they have to figure out how to mass produce it for a reasonable price meanwhile 4 gig came out at the same time (march or april) and it very hard to find for a decent price($50-40 is a steal if you can find it).

If you can hold out that long go for it, but I can't say with total certainity that it will but it seems very plausible. Psps pro duo's came in 32meg and support 8 gigs now.

Good to know, I'm not waiting for 09.

I'll get the 4g for music and put the porn on the 2g.

Podcasts have a URL (web address) just like a web page. You need the podcast URL and a piece of software that can fetch it. I dunno if a browser can do it.
