hi folks. i have an unlocked curve coming in the mail that i intend to use with T-Mobile. this will be my first bb, so, i'm really excited! i have a question. do i need to download/install an os onto the device? every other phone i've ever had i just popped the sim card in, and i was off and running. i have been reading this forum, and appreciate all of the info. it just seems a bit conflicting. some folks seem to think i would need a new os, and others do not...

i appreciate any tips/tricks you can share...

You might need a certain OS in order to have it run properly on T-Mobile's network. Not sure which one, though.

Welcome to the BBF community. Shouldnt need a particular OS. It very common for people to use OS build from one carrier on another. The OS from any GSM carrier will work on another similiar device.

I think there are browser issues if you use the AT&T OS versions on the TMO Network. The O2 OS supposedly works perfectly on the TMO Network. YMMV

Nope--not a problem for me. ATT OS running on the TMo network. Browser is in great shape.
