Default Cannot delete BIS email account

Please Login to Remove!

Just got my 8300. Email was working fine after initial setup. Once I imported data from my old 8700 email no longer appeared in my folder for my verizon pop account, only the general email folder. Also, I cannot send any emails at all from the 8300. Tried to login to delete the verizon BIS account and run set up again. Login page will not recognize my user name and password to allow me to get in and delete the verizon account and readd to see if that will fix my email problems. Suggestions?

tiggersmom, you definitely need to log in to your Verizon BIS account and use the Change Handheld function where you put in the new PIN and IMEI number of the new BB. That is the only way for the BIS account to know where to send the email. You should be able to sign into the account from your BB or your PC.

If you don't know the account name or password, VZN has a way of handling that, we can't.

Good luck.

Not sure I understand your answer. Forgive me. I am new to this. My home POP email account is with verizon. My blackberry service is from At&T. I have the user name and password for the AT&T blackberry account. In fact, I thought I might have the wrong password. I went on the web At&T email setup page and put in my PIN and asked for the password to be sent to my blackberry. Successfully received email on my blackberry with the password. When I put in password and user name on login page to access my blackberry account denies me access. My blackberry obviously recognizes my verizon pop account since it shows up on the screen and I can receive emails. My main problem is I cannot send any outgoing emails from the 8300 and the server will not let me login to my blackberry account to set up my email again.

When you say you try to log in to the Blackberry Site to access your email settings, do you mean this site?

This is where everything is done for your BIS email to be pushed to your blackberry. IE; setting up filters, whether or not to forward email to your phone, the name of the account (the name of the icon that shows on your device). You also use this site to change your device's PIN/IMEI number in the case you get a replacement phone, or upgrade to a different blackberry...

hope this helps
