Question App Loader Problem

Please Login to Remove!

Okay So I just exchanged my Curve today from dust issues and Sms Text/ Call logs. So I DL the DM straight from RIM's website because ive had previous issues with this same happening, and yet it happened again on my new phone when i went to the App Loader on the DM, it just reads "The BlackBerry Desktop Software does not have BlackBerry Device Software for the device that you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator" but it will give me a list of 3rd Party Apps... I just DL Jive talker just to see what would happen to see if that would even show up on the list... everything is fresh on the phone and just re DLed the DM from RIM... So help would be greatly appreciated...

I don't know the specific solution to your problem, but did you download the LATEST version of Desktop Manager, Version 4.2.2.xx, Service Pack 2?

ok, another moderator here on the board has posted this solution in another thread of the exact same error message:

Install Desktop Manager
Install the OS package from the sticky thread at the top of this forum.
Delete the vendor.xml file
Plug in BB and run Desktop Manager and open Application Loader.

Thank you, John Clark.

Is it the vendor.xml document?
