plug your BB into the USB, run DM and App Loader.

Find the apps you wish deleted and uncheck those.

Follow the prompts on screen from there.

You can also delete some apps directly from the BB at Options > Advanced > Applications, find it and click to delete. Reboot.

I haven't checked in a while-- maybe someone can clarify.

Can OTA installed apps be deleted from the app loader?

Is the video/music demo removable or is that permanent? If you manage to remove these, can you please report back? I want mine deleted too. :p

Isn't the video listed there under Applications to delete?

Yes, apps installed OTA are listed in App Loader and can be deleted there.

Do you have the latest version of Desktop Manager?
BlackBerry Desktop Manager Downloads - BlackBerryFAQ

I have seen a couple of other posts on this board about the same error, but I don't know the solution.

ok, another moderator here on the board has posted this solution in another thread of the exact same error message:

Install Desktop Manager
Install the OS package from the sticky thread at the top of this forum.
Delete the vendor.xml file
Plug in BB and run Desktop Manager and open Application Loader.

Thank you, John Clark.

Did you read the full instructions in "Install the OS package from the sticky thread at the top of this forum."

3. Delete the vendor.xml file located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader

Default well...

i didn't install the new OS. guess that explains it. however, my bb is working so great otherwise - i'm not even gonna bother with it, right now. i still haven't established a relationship with my email yet. i just signed up for the bb service with t-mo, and they said it can take up to 48 hours to actually receive the service. so, we shall see...

thank you so much for your help...
