Default Battery compared to 8700?

Please Login to Remove!

It seems to me I'm getting barely a full day's use out of my curve, while with the 8700 I was getting 2-3 days. I'm using the same applications (BB yahoo, opera mini primarily), plus 2-3 shots a day with Curve camera (sometimes with flash).

I do seem to have Bluetooth on by default on the Curve, and I used it with yahoo Go today, but I am pretty sure I turned it off before the battery was even halfway drained. A mere 4 hours later the battery is essentially dead.

My 8700 battery was so robust I would typically forget about it for a day or two.

Normal? Thoughts? This is w/ the at&t standard OS.

While my 8300 battery does not seem to last quite as long as my 8700, I get way more our of mine than you do. I do not use any instant messaging programs but my BT is on all day and I use between 2000 and 3000 minutes a month and do about 30-40 emails a day and never have less than 60% remaining when I plug in at the end of the day.

The 8700 was slightly better but not by much!

yea im almost getting a full days worth on the 8300 battery and im surprised im not getting more out of it. but on weekdays, i use my BB for IM's on jivetalk, BB Messenger, MP3s and Opera Mini too... maybe all that usage is killing it perhaps? ???

Odd though, because the 8700 got by with the same exact workload. The only two "differences" I can think of during yesterdays usage:

1) about 4 camera "flash" pictures: how much do these "take" in terms of batt life?
2) GMM and Yahoo to Go w/ GPS: they were active for about 30 mins w/ the bluetooth GPS, and then I shut it off. However, i left YTG on in th ebackground and i think it was trying to "find" the GPS for some time.
