Default help loading BB messenger

Please Login to Remove!

just upgraded from my 8700 to the new curve, and note there is no blackberry messenger, can't remember if that was a link I downloaded originally. Do I need a new pin number, don't even recall the old one, and how do I find the messenger on my curve?

please help, thanx

Connect the BB to the PC and open Desktop Manager. Then go to Application Loader and click the check box next to Blackberry Messenger

...and you'll need the OS installed to your PC, as well, in order to load it to the BB. It usually comes preinstalled, though. Did you delete it?

well, I tried loading from the new desk top manager disk, and BB mesenger isn't even an option. I don't believe I have deleted anything. What else can I try? It isn't on the desktop. Drats!

Do you have both the HandHeld OS and Desktop Manager installed on the PC???

You will need the handheld OS installed on the PC to see the options...

Before you do all that, look in Options >Advanced Options >Applications. Is BlackBerry Messenger on the list?

Then you simply need to find it. Is there an applications folder on the home screen? I'm not that familiar with the AT&T theme.

I don't think you can move it....Could be wrong though as I don't have the Curve and haven't played with that feature in that theme.

However, you can switch themes to one that does have it on the home screen.

ok, thank you...I will work on that later...I note too that this messenger has my sim crossed over into it, and also an email section for it. Never noticed that before on the 8700 messenger menu.

You can change themes simply by going to Options >Theme. There is a preview of the theme to view before switching.

Yes, the later versions of BBMessenger have a few more options.

If you are using the Zen Theme highlight the icon and hit menu. Select "Move Application" and drag it into a spot within the first 5 icons in the applications list and press enter. It will then show on your main screen.

Make sure your contact's pin is in your address book.

Then from BBMessenger:
Select Add a Contact.
Highlight the contact.
Click the Menu key (to the left of trackball)
Select "Request (PIN) ...."

I'm seeing a problem here...I go under applications, and I see all the stuff I like and want, like my bb mesenger, task list etc...when I click on them they do not load up, instead it just gives info about it. Its like my berry is telling me they are there, but they are not loaded on. Does that make sense? In other words, I CANNOT actually use them.
