I decided to switch from Spint and go back to ATT. I went into a retail store and asked if they did online price matching. The guy matched's price on the curve for me. I got it for $99.99 and I still get the $100 rebate.

I have a TON of questions about this though....

I have never owned a blackberry and I used a Treo 650 for a little while a year or two ago for work.

How do I edit my contacts from my desktop? I dont use outlook by the way. Is there a free application?

What are the best sites for some applications or games?

I downloaded the opera 4 browser but it doesnt seem that much better than the default browser. What will it do thats better?

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Welcome. I don't know if there is a free PIM software package that will sync with the BlackBerry. From what I see there is Lotus Notes, Novell Groupwise, SAGE, and Microsoft Outlook. There is an ASCII converter that can take a comma-separated values (CSV) file and import it. You may have to do it that way.

you can go to for some free games.
you can probably find links to free games by searching the forum, ie tetris, texas hold'em, etc.
good luck and welcome!

Welcome to the group!

I tried the opera mini but didn't keep it. It has many fans here on the board, though. Very much a matter of personal preference, I think, but I also recall that I read some technical reasons for people preferring one or the other (though don't ask me what they were).

Edit contacts, you need Outlook or Express, the syn is seamless and easy as heck to use.

i was on the same boat as you few weeks ago. i'm coming from vz palm 700p, love the palm deskop and hate the outlook. i still perfer to use palm dekstop because of the UI. i use doublelook(google it) from companionlink to sync with outlook and then sync it with my blackberry curve.
