I have been experiencing intermittent voice quality issues on my curve. 80% of my calls are fine, in fact sound is loud and clear, but on some of the calls, the sound is fuzzy, and it is almost metallic-like with no detail. I can hear the voice, which is loud, but cannot understand the person. It is a bit hard to describe, but I am not talking about static at all, it is just that sounds blend into each other almost.

I was using Nokia before (w/ ATT again), and never had this issue, btw.

Am I the only one with this issue?

I am probably no help to you at all, since my call quality has always been fine...as far as I know anyway. Sounds like you might have intermittant network problems from AT&T where you are.

Try this...call AT&T Technical Services from a landline. Explain your issue, then ask if they will re-register your device. They will "wipe" you from active service...then re-instate you, and position you toward the most powerful tower group in your area.

I've noted a few metallic sound calls, but they are rare..
for the most part the voice quality is better than the 8700 I was using before, and folks can hear me better due to less background noise.
