Default Verizon.net Email Issues - 07-29-2007, 06:40 PM

I use Verizon as my ISP and have a Verizon.net mail address. All of a sudden, I don't receive email to that account on my BB. I receive it to my Outlook on my PC but for some reason it wont notify me on my BB. I deleted and reinstalled my account on the BB, and on occasion I will receive mail many minutes after it was sent. I never get a notification vibration or notification on my BB when it finally arrives. Is anyone having the same problem. This Curve is useless to me if I can't get dependable service to that mailbox.

You say that it is arriving late. Are you aware that there is a 15-20 delay when using a POP/IMAP account?

Yes I am---most of the times they weren't arriving at all. I seemed to have fixed the problem by sending a service book to my Berry from my ATT account. It essentially re-activates all your email accounts. Now everything is back to normal. If anyone wants to know how to do this---all you do is log onto your providers site, log into your BB account, then press Send Service Book. Go to your to BB and do a Hard reset and you are good to go.

Thanks JSanders---this forum rocks---so civil and so informative. Now I have to put this BB down for the night----it is rather addictive.
