This is for the 8310. Is the software compatible with the 8300?? I would think not, but I just wanna be sure.

Not bloody likely, unfortunately. Then again, the latest Curve OS is the same version, and can be found here: http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...6-chinese.html

Unlikely...

It IS available - at least here in Germany. I got mine on Tuesday. I'm not sure about the dark color. The silver version looks better IMHO. Otherwise it's the same great unit plus the GPS.

Vodafone sells them here with sleeve, stereo-headset and (tataaaa) 1 GB Sandisk SD-micro full of songs and music-videos! Great!

Greetings

Hi!

I really don't know it exactly. I bought it with a renewing of my existing contract for about 85$ (65 EUR). Vodafone Germany is quite expensive if you buy there without a contract. Anytime soon the "free" shops will have the 8310 by vodafone for better prices.

Greetings

It will not work.

Besides, the latest version available for the Curve is the exact same version as this one. Save yourself the anguish of having to do the OS load more than once and just go with the regular curve OS update.

I know there are some issues with the newer OS versions with T-Mobile service books; if you have a working OS, I would recommend waiting until the service books are a little bit more ... erm ... compatible, I suppose?

Inquiring minds...

You're more than welcome to give it a shot if you have an 8310, my friend. =) Let us know if it works.

Please, all, bear in mind that this is for the 8310, not the 8300. The 8300 latest version is the same as this one.

Default blackberry.alx

Did anyone fix the blackberry.alx file for this version by now? Would do it by myself, just don't know how to do it...

Or did I miss something and it is the same as for the 8300 (SmarTone/Vodafone-4.2.2.265/4.2.2.146)??
