4) It seems like my EDGE Service switches itself off? though I don't get any indication of this.
I've done a battery pull and resent the service book. When I do this, my test Emails come in instantly (within seconds) from Yahoo Accounts, Hotmail Accounts, and independent domain accounts.
What on earth is the problem?
