Cool Standby Mode = no emails delivered?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,

I have an 8300 running a yahoo small business account on EDGE Service.

I am having a really irritating problem, as soon as the screen 'powers off' after 10 seconds, I no longer receive any new email notifications. I CAN however still Receive and answer calls.

The only way I can now get my messages is if I:

1) enter my password to unlock the unit
2) go into my mail account and hit the 'reconcile now' button manually.
3) I send another test mail - and I no longer get messages until I manually 'reconcile again.

4) It seems like my EDGE Service switches itself off? though I don't get any indication of this.

I've done a battery pull and resent the service book. When I do this, my test Emails come in instantly (within seconds) from Yahoo Accounts, Hotmail Accounts, and independent domain accounts.

What on earth is the problem?

Please help

Hotmail, pop3 are on 15 minute refresh. Only yahoo, gmail, and your bb address email is instant push. So hmm, have you tried deleting all your mail box accounts(assuming you don't have a lot of filters delete the service books. Power of the bb and readd everything and put the batteryback in and push the service books. Also do you know what bis version are you using? Instant push is only with 2.3. I'd try maybe updating your os if that doesn't work but that's some weird behavior

Ok I'm a slight moron. Do you mean when you hold the power button and it pops up a thing getting ready to power off or the mute button on top?
