Default Screen Scratching/Protection?

Please Login to Remove!

I'm a proud new owner of a 8300R Curve.

I used to have a 7290, which had a recessed screen, so I never worried about the screen being scratched up.

Now with the 8300, and the screen being flush with the rest of the unit, I'm worried about scratches and scuffs on the screen. I still have the original screen protecting plastic out of the box on the screen. LOL I'm afraid to take it off.

My question is:
Has anyone come across scratching issues on the screen?
is it worth getting a screen protector?
Is scratching without a protector noticable? Annoying?

if i could go back to when my curve was new, i would buy a body guard for it, it protects the whole unit from scratches and is transparent!

KamileonX, I am surprised you didn't search on this, as you have been around quite a while and the topic is discussed quite often.

Yes, the screens can scratch.
Yes, it is very much worth the small cost.
Yes, it is annoying and noticeable.

Look at ShieldZone, ScreenPatronus, and Best Skins Ever.

Good luck.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Scratches on the screen are extremely annoying. I recommend at least a screen shield from Best Skins Ever. I have one now on my 8700g.
