Default How To Reformat The 8300?

Does anyone know how to fully reformat the 8300 to factory defaults?

go to options > security options > General Settings > go down to services, hit the option, "wipe handheld"

Here is a question. If one were to wipe it back to factory, could you then restore from your desktop manager to get all of your settings back?

If so, this would be a great way to keep your device running great.

I would wipe mine once a month or so. Just to keep the baddies out! LOL!

Note: The "Wipe Handheld" function will securely wipe all data from the BlackBerry but will not remove any third party software that might of been installed.

You can use the DM's Backup/Restore function to backup and restore as you need to.

Actually you are given the option to wipe 3rd party software or keep it. I recall being able to choose what to wipe and what to keep.

You don't get that option when wiping handheld from the device itself.
