Angry Phone key pad tones

Please Login to Remove!

A new user here. Have an 8380 through Verizon

Am trying to silence the number keys when dialing a phone number. The tones come through the speaker phone fairly loud and are annoying. My old BB was silent. Key pad tones are turned off so the there is no click but the phone tones still come through.

Per Verizon they can not be silenced.

Any ideas?

They cannot be silenced. I don't recall that they could be silenced either in older models (8700, 7100, etc.) but perhaps so.

A workaround is to type the number in a email or notepad or whatever, and dial from that link. It will be silent then.

Good luck.
