I am getting alerts to say i have new e-mail or SMS and the icon is there to say i have yet when i access the inboxes they are not there!! Any ideas?

Also i have copied all of my sim contacts into the blackberry address book and i am having the same problems there, the contacts are not there?! i can only access names/numbers through accessing the sim address book?

I havent had the phone long but i have never had access to my contacts through the Blackberry address book. i have however never had any problems with SMS/E-mail??!!

Please help!!

Sarah, welcome to the Forum.

First, pull the battery (while the BB is powered on) and reboot the device. This could fix both problems.

When in your Message folder, press "U" to go to the oldest UNREAD message. Perhaps this can help you find them.

As far as the AddressBook, make sure you have no filters set: AddressBook > Filters > make sure there is NO boxes checked there for either business or personal.

It has been driving me mad all day though!

I do have one other query not sure whether it is to do with my computer or the Blackberry. Despite the time on both being set correctly and exactly the same the times on my e-mails & SMS, when they were received on both are completely different. For example an SMS i received at around 9AM today says it was received at 1.30AM?
