Is there a way for me to get a confirmation text message back whenever I send a text and it is actually received by the destination phone. For example if the other phone is off and did not receive my message I will not get a text back until it is turned back on. I had this ability with my old Siemens phone and it helped a lot.

Any help would be appreciated.

Check ur messages settings i know it's under there.

Whenever i send one I get a "checkmark" which means its sent and then sec after I get a "D" next to it which means it was delievered to the phone.

On my 8700g (even though I haven't used this setting) it looks to be located in Options > SMS Text > Delivery Reports. Not sure what this will do, but it seems to be the setting for which you are looking.

Update: I just tested this out and, once delivered, it will display a little "D" over the check mark for the text message. Now I don't know if it WON'T show this "D" if the other phone is turned off. I tested this by sending myself a text message.

Hmmm. I dont have this option in my curve. Wonder why?

Any ideas?

I think it only has it for mms messages.
