Default Can the transmitter be turned off?

Is there any way to have the power turned on ... but the transmitter/receiver turned off. This is if I were on a plane for example, and wanted to use the calendar etc but not use the email or the phone. Thanks ...

Yea if you go on manege connection you can turn off mobile network and that should work.
