I tried my DM on two laptops now and encountering the same problem. I load the new DM software 4.2.2.6 and then plug in the 8300. It recognizes it and adds it. Then it just sits there with the status of........"working" and working. Normally after a few seconds, it should go to "connected". However it does not. All the icons such as App Loader, Backup, etc. are inaccessible and grayed out.

Anyone how to resolve this?

Is the PIN that is shown on your screen shot the same as on your 8300

Yes. Thanks for responding. Did the preverbial, "pull out the battery reset" and reboot the laptop and now it works. Go figure.
