I have been with Verizon for seven years and am/was really happy with the service, but the blue numbers on my 8830 is giving me headaches, so today I picked up a Curve and really like it. I am going to keep my Razr on VZ but AT&T is getting the Blackberry business. My question is how do I transfer contacts onto the Curve from the 8830? I assume I can just swap out the micro card that has all my pics and music, right?

What you need to do is:

Ensure that you have the most up to date Desktop Manager program
Connect your device to your computer
Start the Desktop Manager
perform a FULL back up of all your data
Then use the "Switch Device Wizard" on the Desktop Manager

this will then prompt you to connect your new device
When you do this all of your data will transfer over
