Question TLC for 8300 Battery

Please Login to Remove!

In the past few days I've developed the habit of leaving my 8300 on 24x7, and just turning on the "Quiet" profile at night, with the charger plugged in.

Is charging that frequently (nightly) apt to do great harm to the battery, or is it OK to charge it every night?

It should be fine to charge it up every night. I believe the batteries used in BlackBerries aren't susceptiable to overcharging issues.

I've been doing that for a couple of years - none of my BB's have ever given me trouble.

Arrow 8300 Replacement Battery

What is a good source for a replacement or even a second battery for a 8300? Are third-party (non-Blackberry) batteries any good?

You might consider the extended battery that Seidio just started offering for the Curve. It's being discussed in another active thread in this forum over the last couple of days. I believe it's 1300mah instead of the 1100 that the default OEM battery provides - should give you some extra talk/standby time. If I were buying a replacement, I would probably check out that one.
