can anyone shed any light on when creating something in your calender i.e a meeting i for some reason can not send a invite to others. i can recieve them and reply to them but not create and send.

You are able to send invites when you are creating the appointment. Just hit the BB Menu Key at the 'Appointment Details' screen, scroll down and click 'Invite Attendee.' You can even invite multiple attendees.
The problem is if you have multiple email accounts linked to your BB, for some reason you can't change the default email address the appointment is sent from. I keep having the BB try to send the invites from my Gmail account rather than my Exchange email address. I called RIM and asked them about this and they told me that they knew about the problem and would most likely have a patch come out in the near future.
