Default Wireless connection status indicator

Hi. I have an indicator on the upper right corner of the Curve that says, "Off". The Getting Started Guide says that that indicates, "Your Blackberry Curve's radio is turned off." I didn't know that the Blackbderry Curve had a radio. How does one turn it on? I can't find any mention of it in the User's Guide. I use ATT. Thanks in advance.

Default

Hit the menu key (to the left of the trackball)

Scroll down to 'manage connections'. It is one of the last icons.

Check the box next to mobile network.

The 'radio' is the cellular radio that conncts you to AT&T's network and allows you to make calls and send data. It must be on to do anything.

As long as your phone is properly setup the indicator in the top right will change to either 'GPRS' or 'EDGE'. If your blackberry is not properly provisioned it will say 'gprs' or 'edge'. Call AT&T if this is the case.
