Hi whenever a friend sends me a MMS it says 'retreiving' then fails. Is there a setting to activate? I'm with vodafone uk on an 8300. Note it does work when I SEND an mms though.

Send yourself an MMS - worked for me.

I've heard of cases with T-Mobile in which users had to "self-activate" MMS by sending themselves 2 or 3 MMS messages. Then the service worked perfectly. Worth a try at least!

I already gave up on this one.. i can never get mine to work for T-Mobile.. I mean I tried literally everything.. oh well.. 8320 save me!

Hey flash - I have a BB 8300 on TMO. I have installed the O2 OS that everyone else is having good luck with and my MMS is working good. The first message my sister sent me failed, but every time after that it has worked. Do you have the service book "MMS Config [WAP]"? Maybe that's missing and why you can't send/receive?

I have a total of 11 service books.

Yea I do have that MMS Config service book bro.. I still get a RED X when I send.. I think I can receive but I can't retrieve it tho.

hi i have an unlocked cruve (from at&t) and i am testing it out on fido. im new to blackberry and i cant seem to find anything about mms settings in the device anywhere i am unable to send or recieve mms.

i was reading something about service books, wondering what they are for and how i go about obtaining them?

i am totally lost here so any help or pointing in the right direction would be greatly appreciated

Mwryan, welcome to the forums.

You'll need service books for MMS. On FIDO, I doubt you'll get them unless you have the BlackberryConnect plan.
