Default Voicemail Icon Won't Go Away!

Please Login to Remove!

Anyone know why the voicemail icon won't go away on the top of the screen? Or even why it does that?
I've made sure to check ALL my msgs and even deleted all of them but it's still there!

Sometimes if you hang up too quickly after deleting the message it stays on there...not sure why. Anyway, call your phone and leave a message, then call your voicemail and delete the message, wait about 10 seconds after deleting it before hanging up. See if that helps. I had one like that one time too.

Or you could rebooting the BB by doing a battery pull, see if that works.

This is what I do. I always wait until Voicemail Veronica says, "there are no more messages" then the icon will disappear while I'm on the call. It's a type of sms message that gives the voicemail icon/notifications.

I was having the same problem. What I do is make sure to push the * key to end your call on voicemail. Then the icon should go away.

Usually the voicemail icon remaining is a network problem. It's not with your unit.

Call your Carrier and ask them to reset it. it has only happened once in my experience. Rogers cleared the icon within 15 minutes of my call.

Its happened to me before too, but on my Pearl (getting my Curve tomorrow). Called CS and they told me the you need to press the * to end the call. Just leave a message for yourself, listen to it, erase it, then press * to end the call. That's what I went through with Cs on the line. Good luck!
