Default Email Address Problem

Please Login to Remove!

I have set up an email address for my ATT BB8300 as [email address] but when the person receives it on their phone or PDA my address appears as
"SRDO=kBdROI=NU=mycingular.blackberry.net=s...p@sr s.bis.na.blackberry.com"

hen the rest of my email mesage is cut off because the address line is soo long. Some people can't reply to me because of this wierd address.
Anybody know why this is happening? I wanted to check here before i have to call customer service and wait forever on the line.

Sometimes messages take a long time to get sent too. I know this because I usually get a delivery confirmation from Verizon and TMobile users. What is going on?

I've had this problem. It seems like only Verizon people had trouble replying back and the address showed as such. Tmo & ATT, the address came over as normal. I've called Sprint and they werent much help in resolving the issue. I posted about this a few weeks ago and didnt get any help from it.

sockwok, advise editing your post to remove your email address but still get the point across.

Don't have any idea about your issue, though. Sorry about that.

Have you tried explicitly setting the "Reply To" address on the AT&T BIS page? I don't have AT&T (I use T-Mobile), but I'm guessing that it's virtually the same. There should be an option to set the "Reply To" address in addition to defining the email address itself.

Also, like Nextel User, I don't hand out my @blackberry address. I save that for my personal use, only using it to send links to my blackberry from web pages via email rather than manually keying in ugly URL's.
