Default Help!! New BB User with Curve

Please Login to Remove!

Hi I am trying to get a friend of mine added so I can use the blackberry messenger to talk to her because I don't have text messages. I tried to follow the help in the phone but there is not a request option in my menu. Any help would be great. This is my first blackberry and I pretty much figured everything else out.

Do you see "add contact" in the BB messenger menu?

go to options, then status and get her PIN number. Then edit her contact with the pin number and it will allow you to send a request.
