According to Boy Genius, T-Mobz might be also providing the 8320 in Titanium as well (shwew). Hey, these photos look just like the shots from BGR. Hmm...

Maybe if anyone else here care enough to give t-mo a ring and ask em about it like I did and confirm back here haha. At least there's still some hope that we won't be getting the pimp color that'll go with our crackberry addiction hehe.
Customer service representatives know nothing about new phones, doing that is redundant. You are better off awaiting the final release...

Is the color really a problem, or is it that some of you can't afford it? I feel it's the latter. If you don't like the gold get a skin.

You see through it brother I think to buy a $200-300 phone I'ma have to break my piggy bank. I guess the gold wouldn't be too bad to go with my POS lexus and vette http://www.blackberryforums.com/off-...u-drive-4.html

Wow modding cell phone is such an expensive hobby I bet most people here can BARELY afford it /sarcasm off.

To answer your question. Yes that pewter metallic, champagne, tan, whatjoobeencallit color is the problem I hate it with passion especially on cars. Not gonna cry over it though just thought I would share my info with those who dislike the color and hope for a more subtle bling. I'll just wait until sept 24th and see before I make a decision between bb 8320 and at&t 8525 big deal.

Good catch ngregory00, I too noticed that BG's pictures are the same as the ones posted here. Interesting that BG put thouse up about 11:30am and this thread was started around 1:30pm on the same day...

Anywhos, I could really care less about the color, this is the phone I have waited for, almost. Ideally I'd lose the camera and get the GPS back, but I will make do with a bluetooth GPS receiver for it so I can keep my telenav / GPS navigation solution. I've got a nextel 7100i right now and have had a nextel blackberry since the 6510, time to make a change. Sprint / Nextel has gone downhill badly in the customer service area and the sprint coverage just isn't what the nextel coverage is here in this area. I also spend alot of time in larger buildings and the lower frequency that the Nextel's run at does a much better just of "punching" through solid objects. But, with Wifi, I can overcome alot of those objections.

So pffft on the color, I'm just glad that my years of patience have paid off in that at least the device was MADE.

Save it for the BB Users: What do you Drive thread in the Off-Topic.

I've cleaned up the last few posts. Lets keep this thread about the 8320.

Forgive my ignorance, but would this OS work on my current unlocked curve? This curve is my first BlackBerry and I am experiencing problems with it. It is an AT&T branded unlocked device which I downgraded to the O2 software so I can get my T-Mobile service books and use my browser (thanks for all the help on this forum). I have a lot of dropped calls now, where before with my Treo 680 I never had dropped calls. The frustrating thing is, they are happening when I have 4 or 5 bars showing. Also, the video playback is not matching up with the sound playback. But the dropped calls are very frustrating, probably 4-5 a day! I am hoping once T-Mobile USA will have the 8320, I won't have so many issues anymore, especially with the dropped calls!
I know some AT&T fans will tell me the problem is T-Mobile, not the Curve, but I never had the dropped calls before in those areas! Very frustrating!
So, when would this OS be available for us for download and would it work with an 8300? If not I will have to upgrade to the 8320, but I hate Gold and would prefer the 8310 with GPS. Or just switch to AT&T! :(

Im hardly an AT&T fan, but I dont think the problem lies with the operating system. If you know t-mobile has good service in your area then I would suspect that the 8300 you are using may have a hardware problem.

You may want to swap your SIM into a different phone or fall back to the original AT&T OS to troubleshoot further though.

Well, I did buy this unlocked 8300 off of EBay, so maybe I will have to get the 8320 and sell the 8300 when I get it. I would not know how to troubleshoot this phone.

Thanks for the quick reply!

BoyGenius shoplifted those pics on his site from this thread and engraved the shots with his "BGR" logo. The shots in this thread aren't tampered with. C'mon now, nobody's a fool. The gold color isn't that bad, but I do hope T-Mobile offers this phone in the silver color as well.

The answer is almost certainly NO due to the 8320 having a different hardware configuration than the 8300.

I also suspect a hardware problem. I have an AT&T Curve which I unlocked myself after purchasing at a local Cingular store and have only had one dropped call. Try putting the latest AT&T OS back, my guess is you will continue to have dropped calls if it's hardware related. In that case, be prepared to beg and plead for a warranty replacement. I had a RIM rep over the phone tell me that phones purchased over eBay immediately lose their warranty. :(

This is definitely a problem with the older O2 OS. I am running the same version and videos which I encoded and played with the latest AT&T OS just fine have sync problems after I downgraded to the O2 version. Thankfully, I really do not need the video function.

The guy at RIM that was helping me troubleshoot this issue said that after T-Mobile releases their new Curve then the latest OS releases should start working again. That means that you should probably be able to go back to the latest AT&T release and it work fine with T-Mobile.

You guys miss an important point - this thing could be pink with rhinestones (hey, could I be a rhinestone cowboy then?!!) and I would still buy it.

No THAT, is just so wrong. Especially after watching that Will Farrel movie about ice skating; cannot remember the name.

Anyone with hard evidence of this 8320 working with a UMA setup on T-Mobile@Home services ??!!!

The OP also avoided the first question about how he obtained the 8320 before the release date. I smell a troll.

The 8320 has been available in Europe for quite some time.

You never reveal your sources. When I had beta's no one knew where I would get mine from that's just dumb...

You mean the 8310 or 8820 right? I am not aware of a carrier launching the 8320 yet.
