Close call, to be honest. I am sticking with the Curve ONLY because I have a year left on a 2-year contract.

I would never get the iphone. Especially now, that the Ipod touch came out. why not have the best of both worlds? (without At&ts expensive horrible service)

You won't find a bigger Apple fanboi than me in all of human space, but the iPhone is probably the one product I'm passing on. Why? Blackberries just kick butt. Hey, the iPhone looks like a cool toy with some neat, wowee features, but it has it's limitations. Biggest among them is lack of a QWERTY keyboard. I've gotten my fill of touch screens with Treos. And if a Blackberry is good enough for Ari Gold, then it's good enough for me! :D

Wow, you sound really sure of yourself. What is your job title at t-mobile exactly? Because it seems like a lot of us talked to t-mobile reps that said otherwise.... I hope you're not wrong, because then you may feel very silly.....

I don't know what to do.

It's a brushed gold. Actually very nice - not bling like at all. I really like it.

here's an idea chaddy: Get them both! Then report to us which one you like better and why.

There's no way I would take an iPhone over my Blackberry. If the new HP 914c wasn't going to be $800, I'd be switching up to that, but seeing as they want too much for it, I'll stick with my Blackberry for the forseeable future. The iPhone lacks SOOOO much that Blackberry has. (Important things, not unimportant flashy things like Cover Flow and fancy finger-pinching zoom.)

There's the AT&T factor also... possibly the worst mobile phone company of all time. AT&T could offer me a blackberry with GPS and WiFi for free and I wouldn't take it.

WELL said, and TRUE to the point.

Love the screenshots of the WiFi diagnostics screen that Frozen posted in his for sale thread of the 8320 (all gone :( ) but very useful information based on screenies.

This device; sincerely HOPE has teh ability to use an A2DP BT Headset like my HBH-DS970 control the music AND view photos simultaneously!

Looking for that perfect signature, hmm.

Sigh. Obviously I wasn't the only one with "wrong" information. Saw the material given to reps by the Blackberry rep with my very own eyes, still using the free Blackberry pen :( Not my fault Blackberry and T-Mobile changed their release plan twice. Please note in my post I said "expect to release" which they did expect. So flame me all you like. As far as 3G, also expected to have that up and running, which is common knowledge. As the other guy in that thread said, it's an FCC issue. They also didn't plan on major issues with the 8800, but alas, it's no longer available (at least not in the upgrade program, you need to have a new 2 year contract to get it). As we all know, things change. The information I gave was right at the time. Love to prove it, but obviously can't.

I'm right about the Curve's release date of the 24th, as the original poster, BG and several sites have also confirmed. So "LOL" all you want. I asked a question, valid I thought. Seriously, let's stop jumping all over people, eh? I wasn't rude or nasty once, yet look at the flack I'VE gotten. For asking a question and correcting misinformation. Seriously makes me consider never posting another sentence again. I can get yelled at anywhere, I don't need to log onto the computer to do it :/

Default Pictures but alas no logo on the photos - 09-06-2007, 12:34 PM

Hi all. My camera made the pictures really BIG so I had to reduce them. With the handy Roxio Media Manager 9 that comes with the curve. Very handy anyway I hope you are able to view these. I had to take these quickly due to kids and dogs running through the house.

I have posted these here and are sending them to Boy for his site if he wants it. There will be a titanium one but have not seen it. The pictures are the front and back of the device. Sorry about the carpet back ground. The last one is a shot of the screen OS info.

Let me know if you want more. I have some of it in the sleeve shots etc

I actually like the gold. I like the different approach T-Mobile has taken with the color of this device.

Default gold 8320 - 09-06-2007, 01:47 PM

It seems as though several people(including myself) have contacted T-MO about the color of the 8320. Most CSRs are saying that it is a dark grey color but all the pics we are seeing are gold. Does anyone have an explanation for this discrepancy?

I hate the gold color. I wish that they had chosen a basic color. Honestly, I am thinking of just getting an iPod touch and keeping my TMO cell instead of buying a gold bb. This is really disappointing after waiting all these months. I will try to keep calm until the 24th and hopefully I will be pleasently surprised.

I know some of you do not like the gold but it isn't that bad. I did find out there is no announced pricing for the 8320. Also T-Mobile will offer both colors. The pale gold is their exclusive color. I posted the 8320 in the sleeve if you wanted to see it.

Here are the quick hits about the 8320 that I am sure have been posted before.

Wi-Fi/HotSpot@Home capability
2MP Camera
Quad-band
Stereo Bluetooth
3.5mm Stereo headset
MicroSD (up to 4GB)
Media Player

Oh and I know this part should be posted in Pearl news but yes they will release a red, blue, and a pale gold 8100 Sept. 10th. No it is not the Pearl 2 just different colors. Anyway I do recommend the 8320. Thanks

Are you guys nuts. The phone has a gold tint because it was taken under incandescent light and the white balance on the camera was not adjusted for incandescent light. I bet if you adjust the white blanace properly, it will be silver like the ATT version.

I've seen a few when my T-Mobile reps were here -- it is gold, not flashy gold but gold and I don't think the white balance is off in my eyes...

I never said I was a photographer just a blackberry geek. So here is a picture of the box it will arrive in....please note the pale gold 8320. Now the manual inside it shows the silver/titanium/steel colored blackberry.

Believe it or not, not all females are into the phone bling. (not to mention, that fad is pretty much over). I wouldn't hate it so much if it werent for the grey buttons. The 8310 housing is titanium color it looks SO much better! I still have a few ounces of hope....

Can you take pictures of the pictures in the manual? so we can at least see if it looks identical to the 8310? and to also give us hope of the titanium version

Yep, that gold/pewter color wouldn't look so bad with black buttons. I still hope t-mo will offer both titanium and gold as their exclusive though and hopefully the dust issue has been fixed in 8320.

All T-Mobile is offer both colors. I said that in an earlier post...

Colors: Titanium and Pale Gold (exclusive color to TMO)

They are offering both so all can be happy in their berryworld....we unless you have Cingular
