Default 8310 Dropping on AT&T when? - 09-06-2007, 12:09 PM

Does anyone know when the 8310 will drop on AT&T? I am going to be buying a new BB for work and prefer the keyboard on the 8300 series but want GPS.

BBCool says September 24.

AT&T BlackBerry 8310 launching September 24th. | BlackBerry Cool

I am a TMO loyalist but would rather have the GPS than WiFi. My question is: will an unlocked AT&T 8310 have the dropped calls issue on the TMO network?

no it should work fine unless something is wrong with the device and then iy would drop calls on any network.

Dang...

I got my Curve about a month ago...now I'm feeling a bit like an early iPhone adopter...gotta hate it when you can get more for less after you just got less for more...

But, as Jobs says, that's how it goes with technology....

At least I didn't really but an iPhone....yet...

Well one thing you can depend on is RIM and AT&T will not be cutting $200 off the price!

Less $200 will still not get me to buy a iPhone

Has there been any further news from AT&T about the 8310?

From what I've heard (not sure tho), they will drop it the same day Tmobile gets the 8310, which is the 24th.

You probably meant to say, "same day Tmobile gets the 8320", right? Or do you have information about TMO carrying the GPS enabled Curve?

I called ATT on monday to ask about this. The nice lady that answered the phone did not know. She went and asked her manager, who also had no idea. She got back on the phone with me after about 5 minutes and told me "My manager didn't know either, so we googled 'Blackberry 8310 AT&T' and there are about a dozen websites that say it will be released on 9/24/07" (That is as direct a quote as my memory allows.

Just great. The blind leading the blind (no offense to any members who are actually sight-impaired). She was probably reading this very thread for your answer.
