Default Life of Track Ball?

Please Login to Remove!

Just wondering. The track ball seems less robust than the wheel. Anyone know how far back track ball of similar type as 8300 goes in devices? Any idea on how tested, MTBFs, etc.

Thanks...Jeff

Two years this month is how long the 8100 has been out, if that helps. I have not heard of that many people needing to replace theirs.

Um....the Pearl has been out only 1 year this month. I use my BB pretty heavily and have had good luck with the pearl button. It does turn dark after a year of use, though.

Wirelessly posted (BB 8860: BlackBerry8100/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

The ball is an easy replacement but the actual contact underneath (the clicky part) is not.
