Ok so i hooked up my blackberry and synced everything fine music, pictures contacts but when i went to load an application it says "The blackberry desktop software does not have Blackberry device software for the device that you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator" So i was confused cause this was the software that came with it. So i went to blackberry.com and downloaded the latest version same thing. Any ideas would be greatly apprectiated

You need to download and install the 8310 handheld software on your computer as well as the latest version of BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
The handheld software does not come on the CD with the device.

the 8310 software from rogers is not available yet, If you want to install the software you will have to downgrade your os to the most currently available one online which I believe is voda nz. Or you can install programs using a mac.....

Yeah, I'm hearing this is a "known" issue and we have to wait for a software update...

This is the latest version of the 8310 OS that I'm aware of. You will be downgrading your OS if the version on your BB is higher than this one. Just follow the instructions in the first post to install it.

Ok i was doing those exacts instructions i was told when it said error could nt be completed now my blackberry wont work!!! Whats going on its got some picture with a cross through it and 507 underneath. Now desktop wont even detect it!? I tried taking out the battery nothings working:S hELP!

Plug in the device. Open Desktop Manager. Then run Application Loader. It *should* detect the device then.
