Angry TMO Service outage in LA/Orange, California?

Please Login to Remove!

I bought a TMO Curve yesterday, everything is good except email, the most important reason why I need it.

The test email I sent to my gmail on 1:00pm didn't make it way to my Curve until 6:30pm....

According to TMO's customer service, there is a service outage in some areas of California, including Los Angeles and Orange county since Thursday....

Is anyone using TMO data plan in California experience the same problem like mine? If it always take 5 hours to get an email, why I need a BB???

It doesn't usually take 5 hours, you could be in one of those areas where there's a service outage/slow delivery. It's usually pretty instantaneous for Gmail and Yahoo. I am in OC and I just did a test email to my gmail account and get it less than a minute later

I'm in western LA County on AT&T and am not aware of any RIM outages today. Did get a GMail very promptly this afternoon.

I am in southern California and have been experiencing the same problem with Gmail. Incoming e-mails form Gmail would come in a few hours after being sent by the sender. And when the messages came in, they wold come in batches (several e-mails at once). It almost seems like the server is only being polled every few hours. Normally, I would get them instantly. This problem has been going on since Thursday for me as well. My incoming e-mails via my BES are still working fine though.

Service outages happen, but are infrequent.

Typical delivery times are usually instant.
