We just did a review of the case and it is pretty sturdy but bulky. I love the protection when i am outdoors since I am a serious klutz. We will probably be doing a giveaway soon for the otterbox review unit if you want to take your chances.

$50 isnt bad, I have bought Vaja cases for more then that. The otterbox makes the blackberry as tough as a milspec nextel phone.

Does anyone know if the 8300 otterbox will inclue a holster like the 8800 did?

Default otter box 8830 - 03-15-2008, 01:56 AM

have used it for about two weeks. the swivel clip on the holster broke on day 3 when i crouched down to wire something under a desk. not impressed by the swivel clip .

it was a pita to get the bubbles out of the clear plastic. true, the keyboard cover fit very well, but hate bubbles so no clear plastic.

the case does not snap together tightly. if the outer silicon case wasn't so nicely made, the hard plastic case would fall off.

i'll put up w the bulkiness for the ease of holding and protection. is a bit hard to reach some of the keys on the edges next to the case, but acceptable.
