Hopefully that is a "pre-launch" price. We'll see what the AT&T Corporate Store charges me in Calif. after Tuesday. If it turns out to be $449, I would think a refund would be in order.

Gotta love it... just called a local store here in Orange County on the off chance they might have the red ones. The guy was talking to me like I had no idea what I was talking about cause, as far as he was concerned, the only red blackberry they make or sell is the Pearl, not the Curve

Same story here. Bottom line is that (I think) no one at the AT&T retail store level knows what's coming and when. Obviously, some parts of the country already have them.

Just not here

It's pretty pathetic that the company doesn't do a solid launch date and have them ready across the states at the same time...

I just checked my premier site and its not on Premier either. I guess I dont know how someone would be able to pick it up at COR when it's not even officially announced.

Huh. Is that just a coincidence that you're one of the ones selling one on eBay? Let us know if you make a quick killing there.

Can't blame a guy for making some extra money. If I thought it'd be another 2 or 3 weeks before I could get one, I'd probably buy off ebay.

Given the misinformation floating around, it's hard to tell at this point if we're talking 2-3 days, 2-3 weeks, or 2-3 months.

I'll call Amazon tomorrow morning to sort out what their real scoop is, and wait a few days to see what happens at my local store.

Yeah, I agree. I'm going with Tuesday as being the day. I think the same thing happened when the 8300 came out. Some stores got them before it really launched. I think we'll all be happy campers come Tuesday.

Hey everyone,
I am new here to the forum, and I, too, am waiting patiently for the release of the 8310. If anyone in the Chicagoland happens to find a store that is selling the Titanium one, please let me know. I will do the same.

Thanks

It's not on the premier site to order and the csr knew nothing about it also.

Not all csr's or sales reps keep up with the phones

Often times we find out about new phones the day they arrive in store!

I follow several site to keep myself apprised of new releases an yet sometimes I am caught off guard

I just ordered mine through Amazon. The pricing was way cool ($99.99 'cuz I get an upgrade price as an existing customer). I called after hitting the "Place your Order" button and they tell me that I'm 3rd in line for shipping. Apparently, they're temporarily out but expecting more in the next couple of days.

In the meantime, I have the option of cancelling all the way up until the time they ship in case they show up at my local store, although my price would then go up by $100, so we'll see how it goes.

How much do they charge if you DON'T get a contract? Their list price says $399, which is $50 less than offered in stores.

Yeah. I think it's the $399, but I'm not sure. You can call them to find out for sure.

Has anyone done this before (buy a phone through amazon, then cancel the contract)? reading the fine print, it looks like they would only charge you an additional $250 (the Conditional $250 Equipment Discount). It states:

If these conditions are not met, you hereby authorize Amazon.com to charge your credit card $250 as reimbursement of this equipment discount without need for further approval.

So would that be 1) $99.99 + the $250 when I decide NOT to keep the contract?

I think you would also have to pay the ATT etf also

If it's a new line, I think at&t has the policy of being able to cancel within 14 days and not ETF. Of course, Amazon's policy could be different.

For me, to many variables to get it through Amazon. Must hold out...I need a new red 8310!

hi, anyone find or locate a store that will have the 8310 available in Southern, California (today ), thanks.

P.S. anyone tried ordering from Walmart.com (have them "in stock" supposedly, I also called to check and they did say that it is in stock ready to ship, they also have free 2 day shipping....)...just trying to do an upgrade and don't really want to go through any means of upgrading aside from AT&T (just trying to avoid little complications as possible....)

Amazon will not sell it without a contract. And yes ATT will chanrge you the ETF on top of what Amazon hits you up for!

I'll probably try and make some calls for the OC stores this afternoon (I don't think they get shipments in till then anyway). I'll post if I find one.

sounds good, glad to know someone is on the hunt locally as well (Corona)..i'll definitely post if i find something. I also called so many stores this morning pretty much in all the surrounding counties (L.A./Orange/Riverside/San Bernardino/Ventura)...so far no luck...

P.S. C.S. or Priemier still not showing up on their end (so they say...)

Deer Park, IL AT&T store has both colors. $199.00 new line or upgrade, I'm waiting for better discount on the premire site.

Ah, nothing in Chicago. I stopped by all the Loop stores, and they don't have it, and have no idea when they'll get it. They do however have pricing, which on rep said is a sign that they will have it "imminently"

Drive up to Deer Park, about 30-40 min away. I'm guessing since its a new AT&T store that's why they have it.

Ordered mine from letstalk yesterday(Sunday). My status said backordered this morning, so I called this afternoon, and they will have more on the 16th, and it should be shipped out that day or the next. I'm not in a huge hurry, as my Pearl works just fine.

My local store had the titaniums ones but not red. Didn't really help me because they wouldn't give me the premier price. So I called and spoke with the csr and told me my phone had to be in the mail today for my 30 day exchange even though i was told different. So I sent it back and will buy a new one tomorrow morning when hopefully the 8310 shows up on the site.

Funny how the details bog things down, like not being in stock, same as with Amazon.

We haven't heard from her in a while...I fear the worst. I'm not sure she could handle news like that in her condition. I'm going to start selling crimson wrist bands to raise money for her 8310 related therapy sessions.

guys/gals, just ordered mine through upgrade dept. via CS, (i do have a premier account, but this time i called in the phone number listed on the original OLAM site and at first asked about sales for a new activation, then after they found the phone they transferred me to upgrade...at first the rep said it was a "data only" device, but that obviously wasn't the case in the end, they told me they had a lot of both colors in stock, should get in 3-5 days....

good luck and let the phone calls begin.....

Just got my 8310 in Titanium (my first BB) from a Corp Store (as promised by my rep) -- sorry, they are already sold out. The list price was $449, minus $150 for a two-year contract, minus $100 mail-in rebate for a total of $199.

Just ordered on the phone. Had some trouble cause they couldn't find it in the system but once they did, it was smooth sailing. We'll see how long it takes for it to get here.

Ordering it online, by phone is so much nicer than trying to get a guy in the store to sell it to me full price around here.
