Default Did you get a case from T-Mobile? - 08-09-2009, 01:14 PM

This is my first Blackberry, so I am discovering new things everyday. In general, because of the magnet in the case, does Blackberry generally provide a case as an included accessory?

Mine didn't come with one. When I went back to Tmobile to buy one, the guy looked surprised when I told him there was not one in the box. He looked at the other guy working there, puzzled for a sec, then disappeared into the back and produced a case for me, free of charge. It is not the case for this phone, but it sort of works and it has the magnet, which in my opinion is the least talked about but most elegant features of the blackberry.

I would have thought one would be included in retrospect.

What do you think?

** Edit ** They did not have any accessories available for purchase, two days after launch.

It depends on the model, and ultimately on the carrier. I believe that the 8520 is supposed to come with a case-may have just been a kitting error in your particular instance.

1st Step in Troubleshooting: Do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan?
2nd Step in Troubleshooting: Pull the Battery.

This specific issue is addressed in the included accessories on the T-Mobile site as well as Amazon.com (where I just ordered mine). I see it this way, I never used the one that came with my 8830, I'm not expecting to use one with my new 8520. If you really want one then you have to purchase it separately.
