Default BB WiFi problems - 10-14-2009, 03:15 PM

Hi, I have just got a 8520 from BT I have connected it to my BT router at work via a WEP code but cannot connect it to my Livebox 7628 at home. Looking at the codes on the bottom of the Livebox what shows is S/N: @MAC: Bulk: and Security code: when entering them nothing works, any ideas what could be wrong? It is internet not enterprise.
Thanks

I assume you can successfully connect with other equipment to your Livebox?

It all depends on the router

I work for Sky Broadband and our routers are, by default, to WPA encryption with the network keys printed on the router.

Now if your Security Code is eight letters long then it's set to WPA HOWEVER if you have changed the encryption on your Livebox to WEP as well then you will have to connect tothe router status page (by typing in your router's ip address in the address bar and possibly filling out username and passwords possibly) and seeing what the WEP security key is and taking a note of it

Had: 8700g, 9000, 8220, 9500, 8110
Have: 8520 Curve

In that order! Missing 3G
